The kids had so much fun! Great place for a field trip. The personnel were very helpful and expressed their want to educate the kids about the animals and the pumpkins. We were able to take a number of pumpkins back to our preschool to dissect and use as teaching tools. Love the educational points as well as the fun experiences on the hayride, feeding the animals, etc. I reminisced about my childhood as we toured the farm.

Last year over 150 groups hosted events at the Big Orange Pumpkin Farm. Like them, you can create memories in this year-round farm destination all while kids learn about and feed the farm’s sheep, goats, chickens, and the iconic Texas longhorn cattle. An educational stroll through the extensive gardens might just get kids interested in eating healthy!

Reservations required for Field Trips so that we can be ready for your arrival.

The farm is a great way to give children a hands on experience with farm-related activities. Our fields will be waiting for your students to search out their very own pumpkin. Hay bales to romp on and farm animals to see, hear, touch, and learn about will be paired with a fun hay ride to give kids a taste of the country life. We have interactive signs in various areas of the farm to help kids learn more about the animals and pumpkins.

Two Ways to Host Your Party:

  1. Reserve a Private Pavilion: We have 2 private pavilions on the farm that you can rent. The large pavilion for about 40 people is $100, and the smaller one for about 20 people is $100 for 2 hours.
Reserved tables can be decorated any way you choose; please
note we recommend that you don’t bother with a tablecloth, they just don’t work with the breeze we’ve always got out here!
  2. Open Seating: tables will not be reserved, but are first come, first serve and we prefer that you only use one table as we are open to the public during these times.

For either way you choose to host your party, you may bring in a birthday cake or other dessert you would like for your party. You can also bring in any additional decorations you might wish to have like balloons, plates, and napkins. Please remember that no other outside food is allowed; drinks, and chips are available at our concession stand and our prices are reasonable.

So, here’s what we need from you:

In order to pay for each guest (Children under 2 are always free!), bring a complete guest list with you on the day of the party. As your guests arrive, we will mark their names off the list. You pay for only those guests that attend. Note that we recommend that you be specific on your invitation as to whether you are paying for the parent and child only, or anyone they wish to bring – we find this saves confusion for your guests when they arrive.

Notify a cashier, before your guests arrive, if you wish to pay for party add-ons like the farm train ride.
